Menceritakan tentang kilang minyak lepas pantai yang berada di sebelah selatan Pulau Jeju dimana tempat Sektor 7 itu sendiri. Kilang minyak itu sudah tidak bisa diharapkan lagi, dan berkali-kali dilakukan usaha pengeboran namun hasilnya selalu nihil. Terpaksa seluruh tim pengeboran harus pulang. Celakanya, ini jadi tidak mudah karena ada sesuatu yang menghalangi mereka meninggalkan kilang itu.
Kapten Jeong Man (Ahn Sung Ki) diperintahkan untuk menjemput tim yang tersisa di kilang sektor 7 yang diberi nama Eclipse itu. Sayangnya, misi penjemputan ke sektor 7 ini jadi rumit karena Hae-jun (Ha Ji-won), sang kepala perlengkapan, sangat yakin kalau masih ada harapan di sektor 7 untuk menemukan minyak bumi. Setelah berdebat cukup lama, akhirnya mereka memutuskan untuk melakukan misi pengeboran sekali lagi sebelum mereka memutuskan untuk pulang atau tetap di sektor 7.
Suatu hari, Hae-jun dan timnya sedang berusaha melakukan pengeboran, komunikasi dengan pusat komando terputus. Dan buruknya, sepertinya ada sesuatu hal yang mengintai mereka di sektor 7, sesuatu yang sangat berbahaya. Satu per satu anggota tim mulai menghilang dan anggota tim yang tersisa pun harus mati-matian berusaha bertahan hidup dari makhluk mengerikan yang ternyata bersembunyi dan selalu mengintai mereka.Tells about the offshore oil refinery in the south of Jeju Island where the Sector 7 itself.
